
Launch of G2C Services at DC (Kamrup) Office

The Arunodoy Common Services Centers (CSC) of Assam has got a further boost when the G2C services for the citizens of Kamrup district was formally launched in a programme held in the office complex of DC Kamrup at Amingaon on 31st December 2009, by Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Hon'ble Minister IT, GDD, Health etc.
The meeting was also attended over by Shri Nurul Hussain, MLA (Hajo), Shri V.K. Pipersenia, Principal Secretary, Revenue & Disastar Management, Shri R.C Jain, DC (Kamrup) and Shri M.K. Yadava, MD, AMTRON.
With the launch of the G2C services, citizens of the district will now be able to avail the services like PRC, Death certificate, Birth certificate, Bakijai certificate, Mutation orders etc form the CSC Centers (Arunodoy Kendras) totaling to 15 services in numbers.
Another milestone was achieved by the district administration when Kamrup became the first district in the country to provide Stamp vending license to the VLEs of Arunodoy Kendras. The stamp vending licenses were also distributed to the VLEs of M/s Zoom Developers (P) Ltd by the Hon'ble Minister IT and with this the VLEs will be able to add a new feather to the basket of services for the citizens. This will also help in increasing the revenue for the VLEs. This step has been taken by the Kamrup district administration pursuant to the Clause 5 (I) of the G2C Notification No. IT.89/2006/414 Dtd. 4th August, 2009 of the Govt. of Assam.

Das and Shri Amarjyoti Das of Bhurkibari village, Boko who had applied through the Uttar Paschim Bongaon CSC.
In the programme, an award ceremony was organized to boost the morale of the VLEs and publicly acknowledge their immense effort in bringing G2C services closer to the citizens. The Hon'ble Minister, IT also distributed the following 3 (three) awards to encourage the VLEs :
- Shri Jayanta Medhi of Uttar Paschim Bongaon - The First VLE to deliver G2C Service in the district. A Digital Camera was presented to him along with a citation
- Smt Bhagya Das of Boromboi - The most enterprising VLE (Female). A Desktop PC & UPS was presented to her along with a citation
- Shri Sazzadul Islam of Bangshar - The most enterprising VLE (Male). A Laser Printer was presented to him along with a citation

The programme also witnessed the launch of Computerized Land records of the district called Dhariti which has been developed by NIC, for the Revenue department , Govt. of Assam. It was also proposed that the citizens should be able to browse the land records through the Arunodoy Common Services Centers.
