
Assam Power Distribution Company Ltd. to Make Energy Bill Payment Easy in Rural Assam

Now the rural populace of the State will not have to travel a long distance to submit their energy bill payments. Making the process hassle free, Assam Power Distribution Company Ltd (APDCL), have signed an MOU with "Srei Sahaj e-Village Limited (SSEVL)" on 11-01-2010.
This MOU aims to enable the rural mass to submit their energy bills through the SAHAJ Arunodoy Kendra's set up by "Srei Sahaj e-Village Limited" across 18 districts of Assam under the National e-Governance Plan. To avail the service, one would have to go to the nearest SAHAJ Arunodoy Kendra located within their reach.
The best part of the MOU is that, SSEVL will collect Rs. 7.50 (Seven rupees 50 paise) excluding all taxes and duties (irrespective of any change in tax structure) per transaction for Energy Bill payment Collection from the APDCL, which is the highest revenue for energy bill collection amongst all SAHAJ operating states.
